Mixed tire sized on the front of RWD 335i!?

So here is a new one....
I had new tires put on my 335i RWD last Saturday.

I noticed a slight pull to the right after the replacement and figured I needed to have the alignment checked.

I just took a call from the tire store who just did inventory and seems to have an extra 225/45/17, but is missing a 235/45/17!?
I went and looked and sure enough the left front is their missing tire!

Tell me this difference hasn't screwed up my car. It's only RWD so I'm lucky it's not the X. I assume the front wheels will simply spin at different speeds, but wonder if there is more to it.

Anyone what to chime in on what I have to deal with or what I need to set the tire store up to paying for when it goes bad?

Wow. You'll probably need the ENTIRE front end of the car replaced. Steering rack, all the front suspension parts, strut, springs, control arms, front subframe, EVERYTHING replaced to the tune of about $20,000 with parts and labor because they put a tire that's 10mm wider up front and you drove with it on for a few days. It's probably going to cost you more than the car's worth. You should make the tire shop buy you a new M4 as a replacement.

j/k. Seriously? They made a small mistake. Take the car back and have them put the right size tire on.

Jesus. "What do I need to set the tire store up for paying?" NOTHING. The tire shop is already out ~$1XX because now that 235 tire is used, and they'll have to give you another 225 tire. Cut them some slack.

No need to get snarky now... I wasn't aware that it wasn't a big deal. And its why I join forums like this, to learn from others.

If I indicated the shop had put gas in my diesel or did something that could be causing damage to the car, would I be out of line in asking the same question?

If my company messes up client property due to a mistake we made, they can expect us to fully stand behind the work and fix the damage. I expect the same treatment.
I don't think that's too much to ask, even if it was a "Simple Mistake".

In this case the simple mistake is seemingly a non issue, which is great news for both the tire store and my car.

And that's all I was really asking for clarification on.

No harm done. A donut spare does no harm for these cars, why would that?
Go get the tires fixed.

I guess I figured the overall diameter of the wheel was of significant difference that I needed to be prepared.

I go back in tomorrow morning to have them swap it out.

Fortunately there is very little difference in the overall diameter of the 225/45R17 tire size compared to tires in 235/45R17. Certainly not enough to cause any issues.

Correct tire on the left front on Saturday morning.
Slight pull to the right now gone.
Beautiful drive up Deer Creek Canyon before the rain showed up later that day...

sometimes u need to stop and think about it for a second logically before asking everyone. i find myself askin stupid questions sometimes too without thinking about it myself lol

0.354" is hardly significant.
