30FF often whats the cause?
I always take this one incline on this one road and get an automatic 30FF. Been happening for almost two years now. Have had new turbos, new CP/BOV, what could it be? Only happens at this road in this one town and after that it might happen a few more days but then goes away until I am on that road again lol.
Today it happened 2 times but after getting it the first time on that road. I do a few pulls and the car pulls as usual 14.5-15 PSI. Any idea? Can this be dangerous if not treated? The car always pulls fine only happens at the most random times and I don't even feel anything only the half engine comes on! ![]() |

there is either a boost leak or ur boost solenoids are acting up.
do u have an aftermarket FMIC? the couplers usually come off. also replace all your vacuum lines, it wont hurt.

It only happens on that one road though for the first time. Never anywhere else unless its been triggered earlier. And I push my car hard and its constant with 12-15 PSI map 5 and no e85 or meth or anything. |

Yup, sounds like a boost leak. Make sure to check all of your hoses for leaks.
Hope you find the cause for the error soon. I had this error and the Reduced Power warning would come up when I was in 3rd gear and the RPMs got to 4k. Took it to the dealer and it turned out to be a leak in one of the hoses. Good Luck! |

Cars with over 50,000 miles should start with replacing vac lines they connect to the boost solenoids by the turbo's, under the engine cover to the intake manifold and diverter valves. That is the cheapest place to start. Visual inspection under the hood by no accident my reveal the culprit. If the leak is big enough you can hear it whistling. Or you can run a boost leak test and pressurize the system to about 15 PSI. |

I had this code and my cause was one of the vacuum hoses under one of the vacuum canister has frayed.
One thing to watch out for is when removing the vacuum lines from the pressure charge converters, as one of the plastic connectors snapped off when I tired to pull the line off and I had to order a new unit. |

Did you just update JB4 firmware and/or using back end flash ?
" ISO 28.7 and later REQUIRES JB4 INTERFACE DATED 3/1/15 OR NEWER AND SETTING CHANGES. All Duty Bias (formerly CPS) must be set to 0 or 50 to avoid 30FF under boost codes. 3rd gear boost limiting should also be set to 0 to disable. " also After loading the back end flash map set JB4 to mode 4/2 in dash (JB4 firmware v28.7 and newer). If stock flash set it to 4/3 Last edited by danas; 05-27-2015 at 10:46 PM.. |
