Sony Ericsson s710
I have the Sony Ericsson s710 unlocked with T-Mobile serive. I tried to get it working with my 330xi w/ premium. Can anyone explain how to get this phone to work with the bluetooth? Or is it incompatible?

did you pair it in the car? did your phone find BMWXXXX device?
also, try searching for this issue here and see if anyone had the same problem.

When I first picked up my E90, I was still using my S700i and it paired great. S700i and S710a are both similar phones. S710a has 850 and S700i has 900.
Does the phone find the car?

I have this phone. It's a two step process. First set up the car to pair, then the phone:
For e90's with idrive, I did this: This procedure must be carried out first in order to properly pair a handset to the vehicle 1. From the start menu press briefly down on thecontroller. 2. Scroll down to the "Communication settings" and select. 3. Select "Bluetooth" and press controller. 4. Select "Settings" and press controller. 5. Select "Bluetooth communication active" and press the controller to activate the connection. 6. Exit back to the start menu. PAIRING THE HANDSET TO THE VEHICLE E60/E63/E64 1. Turn the key on. 2. From the start menu press briefly down on the controller. 3. Scroll down to the "Communication settings" and select. 4. Select "Bluetooth" and press controller. 5. Select "Phone" and press controller. 6. Once the message "Bluetooth connectable in this menu" is displayed the vehicle is in pairable mode. 7. Your handset should now be set to search for BT devices. See the Owner's Manual for your handset 8. In order to pair you must enter a random passkeyboth via the handset and via the CID (Communication Input Device - i.e. iDrive controller). The passkey can be any number that you choose up to 16 digits long. 9. Via the CID select "Add device" and press controller. 10. Enter your passkey. Depending on the handset, youwill have approximately 30 seconds to enter the passkey on the handset and the CID. 11. Enter the same passkey in the handset and in thedisplay. 12. Select "Confirm passkey and press the controller. 13. After a few seconds your device will be listed.14. Depending on the handset, the device will ask youto accept connection. 15. You must exit this menu in order for the handset tooperate correctly. 16. Turn the key off. When the key is turned on thehandset will connect and transfer the phonebook entries from the handset. This may take several minutes depending on the size of the phonebook. 17. Up to 4 handsets can be paired to the vehicle.18. Please consult the Owner's Manual of the handsetfor additional information. To pair the S710a, you have to enter the "Connect" menu, which is hte bottom left icon on the menu acccessed by pressing the center button on the directional pad. One the phone: Once in there, select "Bluetooth" Then select "Options" and then "Visibility" make sure "Show Phone" is selected. Return to the previous menu Now make sure Bluetooth is turned on. the top most entry should say "Turn Off" if it is on Select "My Devices" Select "New Device" you'll get prompted for the pin at this time. onmce entered you also need to enter it in the car. You'll be prompted for it there as well... Good luck! |

well.. as luck would have it, today i broke my phone in the morning. At some point i destroyed the LCD and the colors are black with a yellow blob in the center. The screen itself isn't cracked, the crystals probably had pressure applied to them and the lcd itself is messed up. It still can make calls but no screen anymore. Does anyone know if i can replace the lcd, or just get a new phone...
