2.02 Datalogs - Met up with 335vince, raised tq settings

Vince and I met up today and road around in each other's cars. We got a good feel for how scary it must be being passengers in our own cars

We got my laptop hooked up to his Procede in about 10 minutes to do some tq setting adjustments and went to town... We got 10 nice datalogs and a great feel for what's really going on. The tough thing is to get pulls that are the same time length but that aside you can still see the changes that occured after bumping from default ~90 to ~92 (West coast, 91).

One thing I noticed was that in some scenarios even after raising the tq settings to 92, the boost would still act like it did on 90, but I got 2 really clean logs and did an overlay to compare, I am also attaching a great 3rd, 4th pull. The one thing it doesn't show is me grabbing the oh shit handle while vince weaves between cars on a mission not to interupt the log from getting a full rpm range lol~

Enjoy

the comparisons were done in 3rd, the one that has 2 pulls was done in 3rd and 4th, i would have liked to do them in 4th but at 2:30pm on Sunday, 680 and 24 are a bit busy for those speeds and time requirements

I have a question, 15 psi at 91% torque settings, is it the same at 15 psi at 94% torque settings. Will both make the same horspower given the same octane?

Good question, Shiv will need to tell us if that setting changes factors other than boost such as air/fuel, timing, ignition, etc...

Im going to guess 15 psi wont really dictate horsepower at a given torque setting and octane, since there are so many other factors like you indicated that would affect horsepower, temperature being a big one.

yeah typically when you just increase boost, you get a torque increase but not much hp, with v2 his gains of tq and hp are the same when adjust up the 2% intervals... impressive trick, i think shiv said he would explain how he did this in more detail in his next educational post

Thanks again for adjusting my torque settings, the car feels great and I learned quite a bit today. It was cool feeling the power from the passengers seat We'll do it again soon.

Some number must be incorrect or out of range. I need to debug and possibly display a error message when this occurs. The code is pretty simple and should not be browser dependant. If you can post or PM me your numbers, I can look into it and get the logging completed as well.
