219m on e92 335i 2009 fitment?

Hello!

I am wondering if the 219m will fit my car after rolling fenders with OEM rear size 255 35 18 tires and stock sport suspension? I have searched and some say is fine others say still rubbed after fender roll. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You!!!!

You should be fine. I have 219m's lowered on my 07 e90 with 255/35/18 PSS that tend to run on the wide side. I do not have rolled fenders and only rub in a tiny spot if I have people in the back seat and big bumps.

But you have a pre lci vs the original posters lci. Since the lci is 8mm of effective lower offset in the rear, the wheels will stick out beyond the fenders a bit. That being said, a 255/35/18, especially a bit narrower one should fit just fine on stock coupe suspension.

At the worst, you might want a fender roll depending on the tire size and choice.

You may need to roll the rear on the E92. It's slightly more aggressive than we normally recommend, but that 255 you were planning on using will certainly free up a bit of space.

I used the oem size 255 for the rear, 225 in the front. Seems ok but the rear is definitely close. Not sure if matters but they are Sumitomo (installed by the PO but brand new). Guessing if I replace next time with Michelin PSS or Continental DW might be a problem cause is a wider tire?

Hey I just picked up a set of these from an m3 owner and it has the 265/40 potenzas in the rear and is rubbing pretty bad on light bumps. Can I keep these tires and get away with just a fender roll. Hoping someone had this experience because I'd much rather fender roll instead of going through the hassle of swapping tires.

I switched to PSS 265/35/18 and rubbed really bad. The shop I bought them from was nice a swapped them for PSS 255/35/18. Michelin PSS run wide so is like I am running a 265 in some other brands. I am really low on on KW v1 with my fenders rolled, pulled, and cut some on the inside. Think is going to be hard to get a 265/40 to fit in the rear with just a roll 255/35 would be a lot better. You could also try more negative camber and less toe depending on where you are at now. Mine is at -1.8 camber and toe in at 1/16" a side. Could even run 0 toe depending on your power level.

Easiest thing to do is switch to 255/35. That fit on my car with stock suspension and no roll. Zero rubbing with any tire except Michelin PSS or BFGoodrich G-Force comp-2.
