HELP...Car wont start...WTF
After coding a few values successfully, the last one being
Wiper wipes to End position after turning engine off JBBF (2JBBF) ZYCLUS_VOLLEND_KLR_AUS Car wont start...The radio turns on and the windows go up and down by using the FOB. I am hoping it is just a dead battery.I hooked up trickle charger. Any other ideas?? If not battery? |

how long did you have the car turned on while coding - sounds like your battery and may be time for a new battery if you didn't have the car on for a long time.

Trickle charge will work, but easier to just jump start the engine with another car. Afterwards just clear any fault codes.
Buy a decent multi meter and monitor voltage as you code. Or if you do regular coding / programming spend some money on a power supply. |

As homer simpson would say...."DOH!!"
Yea, i am thinking it is the battery. I had no errors at all while coding.
I was a dummy i should of had charger hooked up while coding, with radio on. I was coding for maybe an hour. Also i had the battery replaced while car was under warranty a few months ago, now warranty is up is battery still under warranty? I need to go back to dealer for them to replace. I connected the trickle charger last night, this morning still not charged, when i get home i will try jumping it. |

You know you can code with the car running. I've done it multiple times on my car and a few others with no issues. Eliminates any battery issues.

Are you trying to code in a different type or rated battery or just register a new OEM spec battery?

I was reading and i think i might go with the DieHard Advanced Gold AGM Battery from Sears, I was reading a few threads that recommended the Sears brand as direct replacement.

Easy enough. Just recode CAS with the proper rating and for AGM and register with Tool 32 if you have it. Or if you don't you can download BMWlogger tool for free and use it to register.

URGH!!
So..i changed the battery, but car still wont start.
I followed instructions: 1. Load NCSExpert. 2. Load Profile and select Expertmode 3. F1 (VIN/ZCS/FA) 4. F3 (ZCS/FA f .ECU) 5. Choose E89 (for the E9X) 6. Select CAS 7. F6 (BACK) 8. F4 (Process ECU) 9. Select the Module I want to Revert back to Stock. 10. F2->Choose "SG_Codieren->ok 11. F3->to start coding the ecu with factory settings according to the vehicle VO. to go back to original setting but that did not work either. After following the roll back process I notice that even after resetting the changes i made, Rolling the windows down with the FOB is still enabled and my comfort access does not work. Also the Disclaimer is still deactivated. I am assuming this means values are still not being changed back to original settings? Any other suggestions? |

Finally!!! Its alive!!
Thanks to all that helped...and that didnt help...I finally got the car to start after following the instructions from:
http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...my-car-is-DEAD I also found the following coding guide which is extremely simplified and very easy to follow, if you are attempting to code i think you cant go wrong with the link: http://codinge90.com/getting-started/ Now i have to code a new non oem battery i also have to try and figure out why my CA(comfort access) is not working. I think battery was on the way out anyway... |
