XDrive Malfunction after coding

Hey guys, I did some coding today and while doing one last one, my battery died (not sure if that affected this). After I charged it up, did another code and started my 2011 E70, I got the "xdrive malfunction" light. I've been doing some reading trying to figure it out. Took it for a drive, worked fine, tried turning the steering wheel lock to lock and it's still on.. Obviously I did something wrong and could use some help. Thanks guys

Mike

Hi,

Did you try to recode a DSC?

What did you code?

I was only coding the front side markers. I had already coded a few other things before, but without the battery going dead.

Ok, so try to recode your DSC module and shut down your car, lock the door and leave it for 20 minutes. You can also try to clear codes using INPA.

DSC isn't showing up for a module to code? I'm guessing I'm looking in the right place? Using nsc-expert and chose ecu, doesn't show dsc.
I'm new to the coding world, so I'm taking baby steps here. Thanks again for helping me.

Post a screen shot of all your modules for us.

Can you also read fault codes and paste them here. Thanks.

If your battery died (or gets disconnected), you have to reset the steering angle sensor by turning the wheel lock-to-lock. The error will then go away.
