Blue H7 headlight bulbs??

Hello good people.
I am looking for light bulbs on my 2007 e90 bmw.
It does not have angel eyes. It just has the standard headlights and just fits regular h7 light bulbs.

I am looking for some that are slightly blue. Not too blue that make it look illegal but a little blueish color.
what is recommended? I dont really want to put an HID kit unless I have to but I hear that they blind pther drivers.

Any reccomendations??
Thank you

You cant get anything close to blue without output fall off unless you get HIDs. Retrofit projectors if you must

If you have halogen lights, please use projectors if you're going with HIDs. Otherwise you will blind oncoming traffic.

Good on you OP for keeping that in mind from the start.

If you want a "xenon" like white color, but not compromise the light output mtoo much, Id suggest one of these.
Osram Cool Blue Intense
http://www.osram.com/osram_com/news-...lamp/index.jsp
Probabaly the best "blueish" halogen bulb on the market @ around 1500 lumens. Will give a cold, white, xenon like look and light without compromissing nightdriving. I use bigbrother Osram Nighbreaker unlimited in my bmw foglights. But Nightbreaker doesnt have the xenon look you want
Osram CBI vs Stock halogen

Philips has an option out aswell, called Philips whitevision
http://www.philips.com.sg/c-p/12972W...ion-headlights
Pretty much the same thing, but from phillips.
Whitevision vs normal phillips bulb

Stay away from MTEC, Nokya, GE or other "blue tinted" bulbs. They might give you the look you want, but at a serious cost to lumen output.
Osram and Phillips are the best in the business when it comes to halogen bulbs, so expect to pay a premium. But then again, your driving a BMW, not a Honda..
And get the bulbs from a good reseller, not ebay.. Both bulbs have knockoff POS bulbs coming out of china.

The good thing about both of the above bulbs is that they make them in all bulb forms, so you can get a matching pair for your fogs if you want.
But be aware.. All manufacturers use blue filters to create the whiteer light your looking for. But that also means that filters do filter out light to some degree.
If you want the maximum amount of light down the road in your stock headlights, the one and only is Osram Nightbreaker unlimited in halogen OR go with a HID conversion.. But as you have identified, that means doing a headlamp conversion or exchange to get projectors. Or you will blind oncomonig motorists.

Do these ultra-white bulbs have decent life as well? Most of the other "high performance" bulbs I see come with very limited lifespan (6-12 months) compared to traditional halogen bulbs (12-24 months).

All brighter/whiter bulbs will have a shorter lifespan. That's just how it works.

I saw a German test and the Phillips bulbs actually had a very good lifespan. I think it was about 15% shorter, but thats decent if you get 20% more light on the road. Of the three brands tested, Phillips, Osram and GE - Phillips had the most even quality, Osram had higher light output, but more uneven quality, whereas GE where about on par with Phillips lightoutput and osram quality.

So its a toss up really.
I´d get the Osram bulbs, since they offer the highest output, and just buy 5 bulbs instead of 4 (You need them for both lowbeam and highbeam), so I had a spare. H7´s are pretty easy to change.

Thanks you guys for all the replies
Ok, im stuck on either 2 decisions but just needs a small amount of info.
ok, so how do retrofitting projectors work? would I need to remove my headlights? cut something open? or can I just simply place this "projector" in where the bulb gets replaced??? can I get a link (if possible) for such a projector?

and my second option would be to just go with the Osram bulbs. Is Amazon a good place to purchase them (I dont want the chinese knockoffs)

Thanks you guys

Projector retrofit is a lot of work. You have to open the headlights, modify the reflector bowl to fit the projector, make sure the projector is perfectly aligned, make it look pretty from the front, weather seal it in the back, etc. You can poke around hidplanet.com and theretrofitsource.com

I see.
What is the information regarding the Spyder projector headlight?? Can they be installed onto my car? Is it simple plug and play?

They arent expensive and they have the halo rings (which I really want but dont want to hurt the bank)

I have had Sylvania/Osram http://www.carid.com/sylvania/sylvan...-12881529.html for few years now on my VW. I don't drive much at night so that might increase the lifespan.
