BMW Professional radio crashed

I've a 2 week old e90 with BMW Professional radio, today a couple of minutes away from home I couldn't control the radio/cd/... from the steering wheel, none of the buttons were working. I noticed the time also was not visible, replaced by --:-- sign. When I pushed the upper right button which shows the config, bmw phone numbers and other settings, only menu I could see was the bmw phone numbers (could be a sign to take the car to the garage

. I tried stopping and restarting, taking the key out and restarting again but nothing helped. The radio buttons on the console work but I had to manually switch off the radio after stopping the car. Has anyone had a similar problem? And is there a way to reset the radio, that should do the trick I believe.

i sure hope they have a way of resetting it in the shop.
