Dust shieds
I was reading about bending the front brake dust shields to get better brake cooling. Would it be better to take them off for a track day?
Any downside from removing the shields? |

Don't fully remove them. Parts of them are there to protect the bushings and ball joints in the control arms. Trim off the parts that aren't next to those suspension joints, if you want to get some additional air flow on the rotor.

Effectiveness is debatable. Just bend them back by hand, the metal is pliable.
