Complete Package: M-Tech Perf. Wheel (6MT), Trim and Sport Airbag!!
I have for sale: Complete Package: An M-Tech Perforated Leather Steering Wheel (6MT), M-Tech Trim (+Buttons) and Sport Air Bag in Great Condition! *This is for 6MT, no cutouts for paddles.* **I would consider selling these items separately. Make an offer.** I myself did this upgrade in January 2014, so I can tell you that this is probably the best mod you can make on an E90 not equipped with the M-Sport option. You are holding the steering wheel 100% of the time you are driving the car, so it makes the biggest difference in your driving experience hands down. The wheel is thick, supple and cushy, grippy with the perforations at the hand positions, and the leather is top grain, soft and smooth. I guarantee you that every time you get in your car, you will say to yourself, "wow, this steering wheel feels fantastic!" Every friend who has driven my car has fallen in love with the wheel. As many of you know, in order to install this wheel in an e90, you must pair it with a Sport Airbag. I had a non-Sport Air Bag (i.e., my car originally did not come with the Sport option), so I had to buy one. I am selling my Sport Airbag as well. From what I saw last year, getting both the M-Tech wheel and Sport Airbag at the same time is a rare opportunity. In addition, I am selling the M3 trim for the wheel, together with the buttons. Everything being sold here is in excellent condition, no peeling, no scratches, no rips, etc. However, I wish to point out that: 1. In the back of the steering wheel, there are two small access holes in which you need to insert a screwdriver to release the airbag. There is a fairly small rip near the access hole on each side, presumably damaged during installation or removal. Please look at the picture; I am not sure if you can make it out fully. They are pretty small and you (or the passenger) would never see them once you install the wheel, but I am erring on the side of over-disclosure. 2. The yellow sticker on the back of the airbag was scratched up a bit by the screwdriver when I was trying to release the airbag during removal. I am sure it has no impact other than detracting from the cosmetics. Please see the pictures. So, these items came off my car when I traded it in at the end of this March. If bought new, an M-Tech Steering Wheel costs $580, the M3 Trim costs $115, and Sport Airbag costs $845. Plus shipping. But fortunately, you don't have to pay anywhere close to that for mine! My asking price is $779 for everything, plus shipping via a courier of your choice (I can obtain a quote for you). Paypal gift, or add 3% for fee. Because I spent a lot of time looking for these items in 2014, I know this is a very reasonable price. Maybe you can buy a set from eBay, but don't you want to know where something as critical as a steering wheel and airbag are coming from? I know I did. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for reading my ad. Mick Last edited by Mick the Quick; 06-30-2015 at 10:18 PM.. |

Great ad!
I have a 2006 330i and I might be interested in this even though a steering wheel swap wasn't on my short list of upgrades. I notice the buttons on the wheel are a little different than mine I think, are pre-lci wheels different? Will the electronics work or does the different buttons make it not compatible? I'll try searching around the forums for the answer as well. If it works I would possibly be interested in just the wheel and trim (i have the sport option so no need for the airbag), and shipping would be to 98258 if you would be willing to split. |

Hi Mick, I am new here, Your M sport steering wheel is exactly what I been looking for, I have a 2009 BMW 335i coupe with sport package, I can re-use my old airbag and buttons, so I want only your steering wheel and cover.

Newbie question: will this work on an automatic transmission 2007 E90? I assume yes as long as you don't need the paddle shifters but just want to confirm... Thanks
