Front End to light??
I have been playing with my KW V1's to try and get the car balanced better to the stock 50/50 without using scales. Problem is where I want my ride height doesn't seem to be very well balanced and seems to be very rear heavy. Fronts are as low as they will go with ZERO threads left (I like the height). but I know when you lower the height you essentially take weight off that wheel correct? My rears are set at about flush with the perch, so as high as they recommend.
When I corner I can feel the car pushing...and the front end feels too light, even under braking while cornering vs accelerating. Then today for the first time the tires actually broke free in the front under corner acceleration and LITERALLY pushed. luckily it came right back when i let off. I have tried to lower the rear a bit to try and get some of the weight back to the front end but to no success. Anyone got any ideas to help or maybe school me a bit on how to get it balanced better with no scales..? Maybe its just me and I've gotten used to the KW's and need stiffer springs lol or need to learn how to corner better, but the front end def feels light. Fyi I am on Nankang 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 in rear with very good tread. have not had car aligned since lowering though but very even tread wear. |
