Cracked front bumper and under tray damage

Hi all,

I got a bit too close to the kerb at my place of work recently, when reversing out to go home I heard a scraping noise

Turns out I've cracked and scratched my bumper and realised that the front of my bumper was not secured to the under tray.

Just wondering if anyone knows if it can be fixed without requiring a new front bumper?

My wife did same thing this week. I ordered a new under tray to connect to my m sport bumper only £17 from dealers. My paint guy says to leave it as it'l only happen again.

I suspect it can be fixed but it will need a respray. Personally I would have it repaired, I couldn't bear to look at that every day.

I'm in the middle of a custom E90 LCI bumper minus fogs and with blended splitters.

I bought a bumper from eBay with exactly the same damage minus the crack as a base.

10 minutes with a heat gun and some manipulation and it was back to 100% straight.

You will need to spend a little more time if you don't want to damage the paint but getting it warm will make both the paint and plastic very pliable and very easy to reshape.

Was it easy to shrink the bumper? Mine is quite distorted and stretched. Sorry to thread hijack!

Yeah I didn't realise until I had the scrape how low the front lip was hanging over. From what I can see when looking at other e90 m sports, the lip should be riveted to the undertray to prevent any over hanging.

My lip is missing quite a few rivets

Thats a previous repair you have damaged so dont feel bad about it. Just cobble something together underneath to prevent it hanging down or you will catch it again.
