Never understood how the Z4 costs more than an M3 or M4

The only thing I would have wanted on the 2016 M3 over my 2015 is comfort access without exec package
The rest are meh and chrome trim......no thanks

I believe the $45.00 increase is effective June 22 but my understanding is that confirmed production numbers are exempt.

I do have a confirmed production number for a 2016 340i and I am awaiting confirmation from my CA that my order will be exempt from this increase.

So I see lots of changes listed for the M235 convertible and xDrive coupe but other than the price increase for the M235 coupe I see nothing listed about the coupe. It'd be nice if some of the package changes and price adjustments be applied to the coupe as well.

Good to know. I got my production number for my 2016 M4 last week and just got confirmed for ED earlier this week.

That is interesting. I didn't notice that until now. Why would it not translate all changes across the whole line? Or am I reading that wrong too?
Also, M235i convertible XDrive? Interesting

I would recommend that you contact your CA and get confirmation rather than taking my word for it.

looks like you have a current 3 series? I have a '13 335i and can't stand the seat belt while using a booster, last year my son just switched to a seat belt booster and while 99% of kids can buckle themselves in and out, its impossible for him to buckle himself in, heck my wife won't even do it. For whatever reason the rear seatbelts have/had a horrible design where they don't work well with child seats, our X3 and the X6 we are looking at do not have this problem.

So I am really hoping this is what they changed! The hooks for infant/toddler seats weren't the greatest either but not too bad, its the seatbelt issue that needed to be addressed.

I don't think any coupe buyers opt for it thinking "I want a coupe, but this has 4 doors". Rather, it's the other way around - the sedan buyers want something a bit sportier.

Maybe only offer the MT in the Evens
If you price out the 328 with the same equipment as the 428 GC - the GC is CHEAPER.

328 + zenons + moonroof + sportline+sport auto w/ paddles = $43,400
428GC + sportline = $43,350

According to Car and Driver, both 2016 M3 and M4's will get the updated Nav units.

As a owner of a z435i (still think the nomenclature of the z4 is terrible) you have to drive one to really understand. It's not the fastest car but for 98% of what people drive it will get you there in 2 seater vert joy. Also remember to compare apples to apples, the top comes off with the click of a button. The only M that can do that starts in the seventies.

X5e plug-in production appears to have slipped by 2 months.

My precious car was a Z4 and I loved it very much. But I still don't think the cost of a Z435is should be as much as a M3 or M4. The Z4 is not a big seller, it's more of a niche market and could you imagine if they made the E89 Z4M how much it would cost? It would probably be over $90,000 fully loaded. Of course this is just postulation but it's to prove my point.

That article looks like it's parroting the common wisdom from the last few weeks. My CA today told me the M4 wouldn't be getting any of those upgrades including the new nav unit, which is exactly what the docs from OP show.

We may not know definitively until deliveries start.

Would've been cool to see a power increase in the M3/M4
