Is the 335i better on vpower?

I think E6-7 is a little high for a premium fuel imo, although these days the EU imposes a minimum of 5% ethanol for all fuels IIRC. Traditionally high octane fuel was higher grade gasoline, not just mixed with ethanol to boost its octane content. I was going to make the point that the high octane rating of momentum is probably just because its cut with more octane booster AKA ethanol.

If you are able to test, it would be interesting to see what normal tesco fuel is. If their premium is E6, I bet their cheap crap is E10 at least.

Next time i'm filling the jerry can for the mower I will be testing.

I've owned my 335i for 4.5 months and have only ran it on V Power. It performs great and on runs (going easy, sticking to the speed limits) I have had 34mpg. Can't complain.

I have had problems with a very intermittent long crank start. It has now disappeared since I switched to Tesco Momentum.

Mine has done that on a couple of occasions. However, it's more like to be HPFP than the fuel itself. I'm going to get BMW to take a look next time it's in. Could be a warranty job........

Yeh that's what I did. Said there was nothing wrong with the HPFP, said it was 2 faulty injectors but of course they had to change all 6 and injectors rant covered on BMW named components warranty and the bill would be £1200. Would love to have know if it would have been the same outcome if I had the fully comp warranty.
Needless to say I have tried every fuel and Momentum works best for me and is about 13p a litre cheaper than V Power

First thing I've noticed on vpower is the idle is smoother - on 95 Ron I could feel the idle through the car a little, not misfiring but just tiny vibrations - I'm super sensitive , or paranoid lol.

Since running on vpower I can't feel anything at idle, it's smoother.

Vpower in winter would sometimes give me the erratic idling on a cold start. Rev hunting.

I have video of it somewhere. The car sometimes would shake and the CEL come on.

M3 owners had reported the same on an M3 site.

First time I filled with Vpower in the 535i, I noticed the smoother idle when I parked up, further along the trip. It was as if the engine had stalled, it was so sweet.

I can't get Vpower locally, Esso or BP are my usual fills.

That's really weird, did anybody find out why it caused that?
