If you know how to drive...its an easy $500 ....
going out the hole ...take the jump.... he will chase you and lose... anyway.... i've destroyed 650i on the 1/8th mile all day (auto) ....and even worst on the highway .... Totally Stock 335i 6mt.... and $500 for someone who has one of those aint shit.... they are slower but they are still way more expensive than our cars....this one guy i met was raped up the ass by the dealer.... almost 100k for a fully loaded 650i Mina |

What if the 650i driver really knows how to drive? I think you guys are foolish to think the 335i can "easily" take a 650i stock for stock. Look again, the 550i is nearly as fast as the 335i (we are talking within a CL in a 40-130 mph run). At a dragstrip it's a drivers race with times within a tenth and .5 mph of each other. Now the 650i is 189 lbs lighter than the 550i (and is offered with an SMG tranny). That 189 lbs less weight alone is worth at least a CL (and probably closer to 1.5 CL). That would put it equal to, if not a touch ahead of a stock 335i. I surely wouldn't bet $500 on a race if I was in a stock 335i and going against a stock 650i. It's surely not an "easy" win by any means for either driver/car. |

I'm not saying you can't, but you need to do more research before you start taking bets on your car. And since the procede is a new add on, are you even familiar with it? Has the ecu done adapting to the procede? |

Have you guys talked about how the race is going to happen?Racing from a stop or on the highway?
Your best bet is to have a race at the drag, that way it's all documented on the timeslip and no one can say you or him cheated by starting early. Have a neutral party hold the $500. The winner gets the pot. You better start learning how to launch. Have you drag raced before? You're better off getting him to drag race since I personally think the 650 will kill you on the highway after 100+ stock vs stock. Gary |
