Best tape to secure numberplate with?

As above really, what do you guys use?

The tape I have regularly comes away. This may be due to the fact I have a sub in the boot so I need something strong to withstand the constant thumping

i Use this... This ain't coming off in a hurry!

Certainly sticks well ha

Also used 'no more nails' tape too that doesn't come off either..

+1 for the no more nails double sided stuff, used this on all of my cars and in the event of ever removing the plate it still took a lot of force to remove, even over contoured/curved bumpers

No more nails tape is good. I've also had good results with the normal Signum pads that tend to come with number plates. The key thing, apart from having clean surfaces, is to heat the pads and the mounting area up with a hairdryer before committing to the stick!

I have used 3M VHB - (Very high bond tape) for several applications... That stuff will not come off without a fight, expensive though!

I have used these before. they are thick and foamy so they are good for curved surfaces. Also they use some sort of epoxy so once it has stuck it is effectively part of the car!

Very sticky fixers

+1 for the 3M stuff. I've not had any problems when I used it in the past.

I just used the standard cheap pack you get in halfords and it holds fine, even on the curved front bumper

Also a guy using butyl tape on here which apparently you can remove and restick if you like going number plate less sometimes
