328 N51 SULEV Cat Delete

I've read that the n51 engine has a 3stage intake much like the 330 does, so I am wondering if I remove the cats will I obtain the same power on my 328 as a 330?

The short answer to your question is no! The reason the N51 has the three stage intake manifold is to help compensate for the lower compression ratio it has as compared to the N52. Additionally, if you are going to remove all four cats, you will need a tune to compensate and to remove the CEL you will get. Also, the two primary cats are built into the exhaust manifolds, so removing them is no easy task. Now, if you were to replace the stock exhaust manifolds with a catless header and tune, you will end up with more horsepower than a 330.
