Smile E90 Radio and Air - Condition Buttons Sticky

Hi

A couple of the buttons on the left side of the radio and aircon controls have been sticky for a while. I've searched online and can't find anything. Can anyone recommend what I should do? If you have to take apart the radio and aircon how do I do that? I'm new to E90s so sorry if I've asked stupid questions.

Thanks

Just take an old toothbrush warm water and hand soap. Make the brush lightley damp and scrub around the buttons and wipe off with a rag be careful of using to much water. Use same technique to clean your steering wheel and any other buttons that look faded or nasty.

So I shouldn't even need to take the whole thing apart?

Try that first before you go tearing it apart. The clips are a bitch that hold it all in.

Friend's E93 knobs are just like this! Don't know what the deal was. Figured someone along the line used a cleaner that wasn't supposed to be used.
