JL 500/1 and JL 10W3V3 Installation Costs

Hey Everybody,

I just bought a JL 500/1 and two JL 10W3V3 for my 335 coupe.

My questions are these:

What is the average cost for a non custom box for these two subs?

What is the average installation fee for a setup like this?

Lastly, I heard BMW's design makes it difficult to install after market speakers. Is this true?

Props to JonMartin for helping me out on AIM a few months ago regarding this subject.

Thanks to all those reading this, and super thank you if you have an answer!.

Craiglists rules!

For the regular wooden sub enclosures for 2 subs, they costs about $50-$80.

For JL audios, w2/w3 needs sealed box, w6/w7 needs ported box.

And for the installation, most of the shops charge around $100.
( I charge $65 at my shop =D)

When I was installing mine, it was kinda tricky cause the remote wire for BMW turns of little late than others.

If you want to install it yourself, let me know.
I'll send you some pics for the installation.

And for the speakers, I'm sorry....
I never had a customer who wants to install aftermarket speakers on their rides.

But if it's not a bose system or mark elevensens, it woudn't be hard to install aftermarket speakers.

Oh, few more tips.

It's better to use 4gauge wires for the power and the ground.

And for the RCA cables, there's no BIG difference, but get a gold plated tip RCAs.

For the fuse holder get a tube type, and for the fuse get a 40 one.

BMW has a battery in the trunk, so it is very easy to install system.

Good luck!!
