The transfer case in your xDrive is a technological marvel. When the unit begins to fail, you may notice hesitation when driving up an incline, a series of dash lights illuminating, and a distinct clicking sound.

You can also simply throw a Transfer Case Malfunction fault code - in which case you can be certain an actuator service is in your future.

ECS offers OEM BMW and OES Transfer Case Actuator Motors for your E83 X3.

Also available are all components for a complete servicing: drain & fill plugs, copper sealing washers, and a liter of BMW GL-4 transfer case fluid.
