Here is my suggestion. Swap cam sensors first and clean the maf - rest codes. If that doesn't work, then swap the solenoids.

Could the issue be from the MAF sensor? I took both solenoids out, cleaned and swapped them, the light turned off before I did this but I am still pulling the p0012 code, can't erase it either

Possible, try cleaning it.
It can also be the cam sensor.

From a quick google search, it said another member with that issue (P0012 and P0015) had a clogged CCV, so check the oil filter housing and under the valvecover

Oil filter looks good.

I had a real scan today

We erase those code.
but after 30 minutes the CEL came back.

I cleaned the MAF
Tomorrow I'll clean vanos filter
then a partially remove the intake manifold. Surprise, Oil!! Oil inside and new the disa.
also have a small whistle, Oil cap suction, consuming oil.
All symptoms of a ccv (thx theaxiom)

The n52n have the diaphragm on the valve cover.
So new valve cover?? Or apparently we can order just the diaphragm.

Oh well. ...
