E92 Monaco Blue SE - Replace one 230 wheel or new wheels completely?

Folks - I've had another cracked wheel, this time on the front. I've just forked out on two new front tyres so I'm completely off RFT's now.

I can get a 2nd hand 230 wheel off Ebay for £200, but I could potentially get a full set of something different from CM for about £500. However, as my car is an SE and I've no intention of making too many external modifications I have to be careful with my wheel choice.

These are the standard 230 style wheels which I think look great.

I love BBS CH but I think they are too aggressive for the SE.

Any other suggestions?

I find Cades Apollo very smart on an e92. Greg was running them, looked spot on.

Style wise the 230's aren't that bad changing the colour oddly enough can make a difference to how your car ends up looking. Mine started as an SE with standard silver wheels.

was surprised how just a wheel colour change change my view on how the car looks.

There is the aftermarket option of course and its all subjective to how you view these things, I was in the market for a wheel change but other things at the time stopped me taking the plunge but as its turnd out so far look wise I'm happy

Nice wheels but a bit too 'sharp' for me, if that makes sense.

Yeah yours looks great and I've always been a fan. I think the darker wheels suit your car because it's grey. If I had mine recoloured I think I'd need to de-chrome the rest of the car too?

stick with the twists (sorry, pardon the pun...)

230's look best on an SE and are a piece of piss to keep clean. I also like 162's (biased, I have some) and you don't see many.

It's a good point. I love the 230's and also like the 162's.

I can get a replacement 230 for £140. I'll need to refurb all four wheels which is another £240, so £380 in total.

For £520 I can get some nice wheels from CM. £140 difference that I could easily cover by selling my 230's if I wanted to do so.
