Urgent - Engine Limp mode and surging after wastegate retrofit
I just performed the wastegate retrofit conversion using ISTA/P on my E90 335i. Now when I start the car it idle surges very badly and is reporting limp mode. The only thing I notice in the report is that there are warnings to "Reset of digital engine electronics adaption values and variant" and "Clear fault code memory". Other than that the report is OK. Do I need to clear adaption values or reset the ECU manually? If so, how do I go about this. The car won't drive past 1500 rpm like this!

Thanks, that was very scary. The retrofit conversion took way longer than the estimated time (maybe because using ICOM emulator with the USB cable is slower), it didn't seem to be recognizing the car was off when it was telling me to shut off the car at the very end, and then that CEL/limp mode/erratic idle on the first start. Glad it was just that.
