Uneven rear tire wear
I currently have AS/3s on my vehicle. After roughly 18,000 miles, the rear tires have uneven wear. The tire shop (Sam's) says I must have "mechanical issue" that is causing the wear. The car has 52,000 miles and has never been wrecked. I always have the alignment checked by the BMW dealership at every service and they have never had an issue aligning it and usually the alignment does not need to be corrected as it is in spec when they check it.
So, my question is what could be causing the wear? Could it simply be an issue of the tires themselves or something worn in the rear suspension? Both rear tires were uneven, but the driver side was worse. |
