Upgrading V4 to v5 Process?

Hey guys,

I know this is a very old topic but I just sold my old Procede v4 to my buddy and I'm trying to figure out how to upgrade to V5 for him.

I never initially upgraded to V5 so it should be able to upgrade withouth paying the $150

I tried searching on here and also on Procede's website etc but couldn't figure it out.

Also, do you guys have any idea what this additional little black box in the pictures is for? I cant remember, and i dont see it listed in the stock pictures on Procede's website

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I used a procede a long time ago. The upgrade to v5 involves replacing capacitors on the board, along with other electronic upgrades. Can't really get around the $150 fee.

Although, I'm not sure you'd be able to get the upgrade as Vishnu has moved on from this platform

I believe the black box is a remote map switcher. There were key fobs you could remotely switch maps with.

Just tell your friend to get MHD. It's where all the development is at on the n54 now.

When I had done the same I had to send it back to Vishnu performance for them to upgrade it.
I think few members will most likely say to dump it while you can.
With MHD out now you can have a more powerful tune for less than what these proceeds are going for...

I'm pretty sure from V4 to V5 the actual computer box is physically the same but you just need to upgrade the software.

ECU flash app instead of a piggyback like JB4 or procede. It's most similar to cobb accessport and can also be used to flash backend flashes for jb4. I'd suggest either going the JB4 route or MHD route. Procede support is pretty much dead, shiv hasn't been on here in forever.

When the procede original meth kit came out there were 2 remotes sent to turn on and off the meth kit. That looks like the receiver.
