To be fair I wanted to do a complete review on Coleman from beginning to end on my experience with them so this is going to be a long review.
To start out I originally was looking for a body shop to fix my bent hood and chips on my bumper. I had replaced my original bumper with an M3 rep and had it painted by someone I knew for pretty much free and did the install myself with a few friends. About a year later the paint on the bumper started flaking off (he didn't do a great job). At that time I wasn't happy with how my car was looking so I started researching for a body shop and found recommendations on this forum to go to Tommy. I hit up Tommy, sent him a message and a few pictures of the damages. He replied back within the same day and gave me a quote. I setup an appointment with him and was on my way to the shop the following week. I head over there, roughly a hour 1/2 away from my house. I talked to him got everything sorted out and I was off. Few days later I came back picked up the car and it had came out great. He fixed the bend in my hood, plus repainted both my hood and bumper. Paint job was perfect and I could tell the difference from when I had it painted by the person I knew and when bringing it to Coleman. Its like trying to compare a Mercedes To BMW (just playin). I got the car home spent the next two days detailing it and was super happy with the way everything turned out. The next day I went out with a few friends and someone must of backed into my car and scraped my freshly painted bumper when I had it parked. I didn't even notice until the next day. I was sooooo pissed after all that work and effort to just have it fucked up, I'm sure you guys can relate. I attempted to fix the damages with some filler, sanding, and touch up paint but it just wasn't happening. I hit up Tommy again explained everything to him and arranged another appointment. Even though I had an appointment setup I didn't end up going. At the time I didn't have a way of getting down there and back nor did I have the time. I hit up Tommy again few weeks later and asked if it was possible to get a loaner (rare for body shops to do). Sure enough he said a loaner just had came in and that I could stop by when it was convenient for me. Two days later I was back at Coleman dropping off my car. He had the car ready super quick, and even gave me a crazy deal on a M3 Spoiler that he had . All I can say is great service, great work and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else to do body work even though the drive is hour 1/2 away. TL;DR - Quote:
Pictures are below, unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the bumper when the paint was flaking off. Bent Hood: After bumper was painted and then scraped. This is what it had looked like after giving up trying to sand, fill, and touch up paint. I said fuck it and just put more filler: After being repainted, added spoiler, and now dropped on KW's : Last edited by SPJR; 06-25-2015 at 09:02 AM.. |

So, the time has come everyone for me to leave Coleman.
I am moving to Florida to manage another shop. I would love to give you all a go to person but right now I don't know what the future will bring for Coleman as to whether they will still be a sponsor. Thank you everyone past and present for all the support and business! |

I have so much work to do coming up. I just received my replacement windshield washer reservoir for my M3 Rep fenders that you installed in April yesterday since mine was damaged. Where will I go now? |
