Help random idle misfires
Guys I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction. I recently started having random misfires all the time at idle and under low load situations. It won't do it coasting or under load. I do get a 2a2b fuel mixture code and sometimes multiple misfires. I just replaced my plugs and could with the new Delphi ones. When I changed those it made it ran better than it ever has. I am currently FBO running a jb4 with mhd backend flash. It does this no matter if I run the e85 or pump flash, as well as any jb4 map. Any help would be much appreciated!

The description you posted is very vague.
Do you have any logs? Which cylinders are misfiring? How old are your injectors? Did you try swapping injectors and checking if misfire follows? It could also be a fuel pump failure, we need logs to know for sure.

10-4. I am out of town now. But I will post logs when I get back. I haven't tried moving injectors around yet. The misfires are happening only bank one cylinders. My injector ls are index 9

The car now does this on idle and at low load throttle input the worst while driving.
The codes I am getting are: 29e0 fuel mix control 2a2b fuel mic control misfires cylinders 1-3 2c3b lambda probe in front of cat not plugged Then cleared them and got Misfires cylinders 1-3 29cc Misfiring several cylinders 2a2b fuel mix control I have attached some logs I have done, some are just driving normally trying to replicate the problem and the others are going wot. I just replaced my plugs and coil >1000 miles ago. Im not sure what route to proceed to fix this problem. Thanks in advance for any help! |

I was just driving around with the jb4 mobile gauges active. I noticed that when the car was misfiring and stumbling the open loop was pegged at 50, then when it would clear up and run fine it was at 25. Also after it misfires for awhile it seems like the dme is shutting down bank 1, then if I restart it will run bank 1 with misfires until it shuts it off again.

Well I just was messing around and unplugged the bank 1 upstream O2 sensor and the thing seemed to run so much better. Even the fuel trims went from pegged down to 10 or so. So I'm guessing replacing my O2 sensors upstream is the way to go

Fixed! I replaced both upstream O2 sensors and that fixed the problem. She's running like a champ again. I never ceases to amaze me how much of smoke this car puts on my face when she's running right. I guess I will have to wait to see what breaks next lol.
