This is my guess. My DMFW is new and my tensioner is definitely not the issue. If I hit the gas in 3rd and let off (clutch still engaged the whole time) I can count a off 1000th-1 and on the 1000th-2 then I can distinctly feel the weight shift back forward. I think something has come lose or wore out severely in a short period of time. I did not notice this after my clutch install but I didn't notice it before either. Going to take it back when I have time.

my control arm bushings looked fine when we looked - i could see it being a tranny or engine mount though.

its going in for some service tomorrow - i am going to ask they look at them. i briefly glanced at the engine mounts yesterday but im not entirely sure how i would even know if they were worn -- i beleive if either it would be the tranny mounts. sometimes the jolt feels as if its coming from under my seat, others from the front end.....

it was not the belt and tensioner - i had to get an alignment done so they checked that but i do not think hey checked the mounts. that seems to be most likely cause though.

I was told its kind of normal to feel the jolt with a manual trans anyways bc of the torque, i just didnt think it was that much

Well there's still the mounts to check I guess once you get that checked them we will really know if it's because of the manual transmission or not

Didn't see this but I changed my clutch, flywheel and rear seal at 113k.

I haven't had time to take it in but I'm almost certain it's going to be the tranny mount. It's so bad I'm missing 3rd gear when I'm on it balls out.

Did you find out what it may be if it's the tranny mount I heard the best mounts for us to get are e46 m3 tranny bushings for our cars
