Wheel repair shop in NJ?
I have a set of 19" wheels that are waiting to be mounted onto my e92. Two wheels have two cracks. Can anybody recommend a good reputable place to get them fixed?

I ended up going to a shop in Elizabeth called Auto Collision Expert. Gave me a good price for wielding and refinishing four wheels. I should have them ready by next week only bc I'm waiting for my new TPMS to come in.

I got my wheels powdercoated by Need Powder Coating in Newark, but just got a bend fixed by USA Wheels in Fairfield. I could recommend either shop. USA Wheels were a bit easier to get to and in a nicer area. The last time I was down by Need Powder Coating I remember the roads being complete shit and thinking there was no way I would bring my BMW down there even with the OEM 17" rims so be careful on what your going to drive there if you are going to go to Need Powder Coating.

Ok here's the detail: I got my rims welded at Auto Colission Expert in Elizabeth. The only CON is they don't have a balancing machine so when I mounted on my wheels, my steering wheel started to shake on the GSP.
I took my car to a local balancing shop to see if it only needed balancing, but it appeared that the welded area was welded "flat"? Instead of actually rounding it. So I decided to go to Need Powder Coating to get that fixed. After going to NPC I decided to drive it on the GSP again and it drive smooth! Wheb I got home the Low Pressure Light on the dash came in indicating that the rear passenger side is low in aid. I decided to put air in it hoping it's nothing big, but when I woke up this morning it was flat. I'm heading back to NPC this Monday to see what they can do if it fails again I MIGHT actually just replace that one wheel. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by iDRIVEslw; 08-01-2015 at 11:31 PM.. |
