iPhone 6+ Music/BT Integration question - whats best method?
Pardon the as I know this has been discussed many times here but after 2 hrs of searching and reading through, I feel just as lost as I was when I started.
So this is what I am working with. I just got my wife a GLK 350 and I am taking this E91 as my daily driver. My old daily was a newer Honda Pilot. Had the USB port where I just plugged in my iPhone cable to it and everything worked though the car (also had BT audio). I'd like something similar or at least one or the other but with controls through the radio. Charging would be great also so I'm not running cables all over the place. The E91 I am working with is an 07 Pre LCI (duh) 328xi Touring with the HiFi system. Aux input only, no USB slot for the 6FL. Car (supposedly) has bluetooth but I've never been able to get my wife's phone paired properly. What's the easiest way to get this done. Dice/Audiovox Media Bridge? Is there a simple back of the radio kit (like a CD changer output) anyone else makes? I've heard people say MediaBridge is junk, others say it's great. Some talk about a BMW kit but it needs coding and all of that... I'm not trying to spend $700 on this or anything. Thanks for the help guys.

I have an e90 without combox (bt audio from factory) and use a Blackberry stereo gateway when I stream. My phone connects to the car for phone and then to the Blackberry stereo gateway for audio. Turn the radio to aux in and away I go. The only issue is you can not control the tracks/see track info doing it this way.
Other option is to retrofit a combox. But you lose bmw assist functionality (both concierge and accident emergency calls). BBSG is $50 or so and combox is $700 last I checked. There are similar devices to the BBSG which will work just as well.
