Hi Jeff!

I have adaptive headlights and read on one of the AE bulb upgrade threads that these could cause some unwanted effects. Can you comment on this potential issue using your bulbs (I have an e90 LCI). Thanks!

Matt

I bought these and installed them about 6 weeks ago. I first had some junk Ebay ones I bought right when I got my E92 (didnt know any better at the time). All I can say is its worth it, you will not be disappointed. It was a huge difference from the ones I had before. Its hard with these pre-lci halos but this set up works great!

The first pic below is the junk Ebay and the last two pics are the new 60W from Jeff. Photos were taken in almost direct sunlight.

This pictures are very helpful, I am looking to do the same to my 2009 335i. Saw that you have the black kidney grills on the graphite color car, happens to be the same color i have, do you like the contract of the black with the graphite? Also what color rims to you have?

Looks really clean, about to order a set. Are there any pics of the 40W vs 60W bulbs installed for comparison? Just curious.

Garage List
2010 BMW 335i  [8.00]

I just installed the lights. Cloudy day.

Photo taken with Iphone 6, about 9 ft away from the car. The outer ring is a bit dim though.

This is took at night, after fully sundown. Indeed a little dim on out rinngs, I checked twice after I install, bulbs are in the right position.

I also wanted to note something on the install...the bulbs can be positioned correctly all day. However, the input ends of the rings have a tendency to move around slightly (which could result in poor lighting). Before I installed the bulb, I lined up the ends of the rings to ensure they were properly lined up with the black inset piece. Once I had the bulb installed, I tested the lights to ensure they lit propertly. One wasn't, and it was because the halo wasn't aligned. Taking this extra step resulted in both halo rings having a similar brightness.

Could you elaborate on this? Maybe take a picture of what part you're talking about? Also, what year/model do you have?
