You don't need and OEM amp bracket.

You don't need and OEM amp bracket.
The chances it will fit and aftermarket amp are small.
At least take the measurements and see if it will work first.
So you will end up modifying it anyway if that will even work.
You can make one out of a piece of wood.
You should re code to Hi Fi if you are not using a JL clean sweep.

I talked to Technic about recoding with option 2 (Alpine MRX-F35 and MBQ) and he said it is not needed as the alpine amp requires the high output to function.

I think the oem amp bracket will work, but may need some slight modifications, such as new mount holes to accommodate the amp. I'm happy to be a tester and will report back my findings. Even if it does need slight modification, I think it would be less work than building one out of wood.

To keep everything straight, I laid out the options and made myself a basic shopping list from what has been posted here and in other places. Here is what I came up with:

Must have regardless:

Door/Window trim, seals, amp bracket (for 2011 335d e90) - $113
(www.ecstuning.com)
51337258575 - trim left
51337258576 - trim right
51337120659 - inner seal left
51337120660 - inner seal right
65156945072 - amplifier bracket

RF Amp Install Kit 8g - $46
(http://www.ebay.com/itm/391110037068...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)

$159 in so far, regardless of direction.

Equipment Options:

Option 1
Alpine kit - $360
(http://www.schmiedmann.com/654121632...uctnumber.aspx)

Under seat woofers - Helix MS 8B-BMW.1 - $220
(http://www.crutchfield.com/p_975MS8B...BMW-1.html?l=X)
[may be other options but would likely be around that price]

$580 for the equipment
$739 all in

Option 2
Alpine MRX-F35 amp - $175
(http://www.ebay.com/itm/Alpine-MRX-F...item5b029c57da)

MB Quart QM200.3BMW - $214
(http://www.vminnovations.com/Product...eo-System.html)
(with WEVALUEYOU coupon)

Technic harness with MB Quart adapter - $120

$509 for the equipment
$668 all in

Unless I have missed something, you would save $70 and from what people are saying, end up with a MUCH better system.
Go for the MB Quarts, I am currently installing them in my 2007 e93 and have come so far as to installing the tweeters and 4"s, the detail in the sound is really great given the low cost. They give much more detail in the sound than the setup in my 2011 e91 equipped with CIC Sat Pro and hifi speakers which should be equivalent to the speakers in the Alpine retro kit.
