Collected her last night from the dealer and all seems well for now. Going to take a month or so to get my trust back, but hopefully weather pending should have my first mod on for saturday afternoon. On the way home from the garage even in manchester city centre rush hour traffic it was a brilliant drive. Just hope i get a bit of reliability, because quite frankly iv scared myself reading some of the stories on the N53 with fuel pumps, coils and injectors. Just going to try and enjoy the car now. Thanks for all the help guys. Case closed for now!

Hi all, I've been searching for a post on this tonight as I seem to have stumbled on a resolution. I have a 2007 320i with 60k miles, I've had it for 4years without issue... Then suddenly and out of the blue to yellow engine management light would come on pretty much every week, either at cruising speed (low revs) or idle at lights with low revs. I've had all ignition coils replaced and a software update, however 4thday after the light started to come on again. Whenever it came on I could turn engine off and restart 2 or 3 times (usually on the way to work in traffic jam!) and the light would go off!
Now for my accidental resolution (im not 100% on this, and obviously it depends if you guys are or having been doing the same as me) BUT, I've had no light for a month now, and the only thing that has changed is I've stopped turning the autos top start off when I drive !!??!!?? Any thoughts, how or why this could affect anything? Or is Lady Luck just shining down on me after nearly 1year of engine management light without solving it |

I fit the NGK recommended plugs in mine (ZKBR7A-HTU). I spoke to NGK technical, and they state these plugs should be changed every 25K in the N53...
