I believe a warranty will not cover pre existing faults, although im not sure how easy it would be to prove it was pre existing.

Granted but I would wait a couple months before claiming and also would not claim for them all at once, things such as the oil weeping from my throttle valve I may not get looked at at all

Seeing as you've got the main issue off your chest do you have any recommendations for which BMW Warranty to purchase, have you had any experiences with either Comprehensive and Named Component?

A warranty is an insurance policy, and your trying to defraud them by claiming for pre-existing faults by pretending they are new ones...

I dont particularly care if you do or dont, its your business, not mine... But its probably something thats kept quiet about, rather than posting it on a forum for all to see!


edit: On the second point, no i've never used any warranty services, not my thing. I do my own repairs.
