Question Power steering 325i 2006

More questions than answers: 2006 325i with all options,
Power steering flush and refill, fluid is CHF 11S Synthetic. Pentosin is best.
I found Bieltein at almost half the cost and seems to be compatible.
The Reservoir also houses the filter and should be replaced every 2 yrs...
I'm not an expert and the information is available online, where I got it.
Now I found that there are 2 diff. kinds of Reservoirs, "with Active" or Without Active Steering. Question: How does one find which kind one has?
I have checked BMW decoder and it has nothing on the subject.
I've seen posts that "Active sounds weird..." and "you'd know if you have, it feels different". Come on guys...
Give me the facts, nothing but the facts! I am contacting parts dealers and trying to get the info. *FEEL FREE TO POST YOUR IDEAS*
note: most people are afraid to open the hood without taking it to the dealer, I've found that if you have basic mechanical skills and the right tools, BMWs are not difficult to service, oil change, brake flush, steering fluid change. Except for getting the correct parts. Thanks JG
I've seen a lot of posts on the subject and much confusion!

Also I changed out my fluid a few years ago with pentosin and turkey baster method....
Took out most fluid filld new fluid in and turned the wheels to get the rest out and repeated it until it was completely clean.

Cost me the bottle of the fluid 20 bucks and 1 dollar turkey baster and a free gatorade bottle lol
