Bulb Warning Light

A few days ago, I saw the bulb warning light appear. Didn't think too much of it because the next time I started my car it didn't reappear.

Doing a walk around of my car, I see that my brake bulb is burned out. I plan on replacing it but I thought the warning was supposed to bother me until I fixed the problem?

Anyone else experience this?

So it looks like it wasn't the bulb. I did some investigation yesterday and swapped bulbs from left to right brake light. The bulbs are fine. The LED turn signals also work fine. I'm now suspecting it is the bulb socket which is #3 in the diagram.

Anyone else had this issue? Would this be the reason why there isn't a reminder that the bulbs are bad?

Socket was good. Entire unit needs to be replaced.
