Either you choose to be a BMW enthusiast, or you are not. If you are, then you should want to appreciate the history and culture a bit. http://www.bmwccbc.org/misc/tech-and-trivia/bimmer.html

If you don't appreciate it, drive an Audi.

Canadian car club hardly seems like the authority figure on this....

Also, way to prove the point

How the hell do you have all these mods but still don't know the basics like misfires or even reading codes wow

Because these are easy mods and this is my first car...
I've been riding quads and dirtbikes my whole life but those are different to cars. At the time of my post I was acting on impulse as this is my only daily to get to school and I was paranoid from reading threads upon threads of issues from other e9X owners on the forums.

Tell me about it lol.
So i just swapped cyl 1 and 2 coils and i still have misfire in cyl 1.
Im about to swap plugs.
I bought a regular 14mil 12 point deep socket and grinded it down a bit to reduce diameter and it worked like a charm instead of paying 70$ for the actual 335i socket from lordco. Im not sold on it being a bad plug tho...

Im confused, so what is the issue here?
Now im trying to see if the jb4 code matches up to my scanner code.

I bought a normal 3/8 drive, 14mm 12 point socket for 10$ cad and just used a grinder to decrease the diameter ever so slightly and it worked perfect to take the plugs out. No need to order special tools.

So heres what I think is happening.
Since my plugs and coils are obviously not the problem.
It seems like the injector is slowly going, I will replace it and let you know how it goes.

I am having the same issue again, I have an engine light now and 2 codes, both for cats could this be the problem, doesn't seem related? So again car was fully warmed up, 4th gear pull and at 3-4k rpm the engine began to knock and stumble, it did this until I pulled over, stopped and turned the car off and when i turned it on the stumble went away. Also while the car stumbles it has no power and doesn't pick up boost even though I didn't really try. My friends think its the injectors, what do you guys think?

The engine started to clunk and had no power but I didn't rev past 2k. Luckily I was up the hill from my house so I coasted down in neutral with engine on. I turned the car off, then on and it is completely fine again, I went for a decent drive. Does that kind of sound like limp mode to you? Or something worse? Before the pull I just filled up with 94 chevron and was on a 15 minute drive to the gas station. Mods are vrsf dp, dci, straight pipe exhaust except resonator and jb4 g5 with nls/2atep on map 5.
It's "Bimmer", "Beemer" is a motorcycle.
I've never seen a JB4 on a motorcycle.

Seriously, check your HPFP pressure.
If it's not 100bar when you are in boost you might be having a lean fuel problem.

My car started acting crazy when the battery was going out. Shaking and sputtering. Make sure to check it.

But I don't have any long crank starting so it can't be the pump then? Also how do I check it? My battery is in good shape.

Not true.
It could fail to hold pressure at high consumption.
If you have a OBDII dongle and one of the apps for Android or iPhone, you can monitor fuel rail pressure.
