Replaced dead MULF with TCU - Problems

Hi all,

MULF died in my 2006 E90 Non-iDrive. I was able to source a cheap TCU and I'd heard it was just plug and play.

I have a couple of problems the first being that the bluetooth antenna cable won't actually plug into the new TCU properly because the 'notches' don't line up properly. Call quality is awful and breaks up terribly, I'm assuming this is directly related to the antenna? Do I need a different antenna cable?

Secondly I can't get any of the contacts to show up in the car on the headunit, it won't display recent calls or anything but they used to show up when the MULF was working! Is this a software problem?

Thanks in anticiptation.

I fitted a MULF2 in place of my MULF1 and had the same issue with the bluetooth plug, i just cut off the interfering notches with a sharp stanley blade and it then plugged in.

If you have a search you should find my thread, i detailled it all with pictures.

No idea on the latter point, my MULF2 just worked on that front.
