Tired of breaking those lighting cable chargers?
Well i own a start up company and i designed a product that prevents the lighting cables from breaking. Its a patent pended slip over strain relief designed specifically for the lighting cable. It comes in 5 colors and is a very cheap way to keep them from breaking. Its not a fix if it already broke, but it will prevent good working cable from breaking from regular use. I just launched the site and got my first shipment so i figured why not post about it here Even from a connivence standpoint, not having a dead phone in the morning from a broken charger its worth it, or for $3.99, youd spend more on gas just to get a new one, although lets admit we love driving out cars haha check it out on http://www.flex-fix.com BTW this is not spam haha, im a big BMW enthusiast and have been on this forum for years. just figured id throw this out there |

You can take your broken cables to the Apple Store and they will replace them if your device is under warranty....

I have over five lightning cables at my house, both OEM and aftermarket and have never had an issue with any of them. And I abuse the shit about of them. At $4 a piece, your margins must be insane. And you might want to work on the spelling of your original email. Not a great way to instill confidence in your buyers if you cannot even spell "convenience" correctly.

Same as the others - haven't really had problems with cables. If I think I need another cable I just buy an Amazon Basics cable for $7.49. $4 seems like a lot to protect a cable that can be replaced for $7.49. $0.99 would potentially get more interest, as I presume there are other people outside this thread having this problem.

I have had issues. Two well treated OEM's that broken and an expensive ass aftermarket startech.com cable that's broken as well. When I did mobile device administration for my last company, I was replacing broken lightning cables all the time (many of them not abused at all).

I've always wrapped the spring from a $.99 retractable pen around the end of the cable. Easiest life hack ever.

Lots of issues here with cables as well. We are a family of six and have 2 iPad minis, 3 iPad airs and 4 iPhones. If you use these cables intensely in house and in the car, they tend to break relatively ease but not the OEM ones, haven't had probs with the original cables but I did with 3rd party cables.

From a business perspective, I would highly encourage you to sell them ONLY in 3 packs. 1 in each color, and then a variety pack/build-your-own. There are so many verticals for this reasoning. The largest one is somebody who buys it for them self and then a friend's cable breaks, so they're able to give an extra protector to a friend. Just some food for though
I've had Samsung phones all of my life and have never broken a single cable. But I do see people with mangled apple cables after 2 years of use.

Yes, I have had two (2) iPhone cables fail, so your invention is well timed. I do want to warn you: These parts seem small. Infants and young children love to bite things---even iPhone cables. I am deeply concerned that your device could pose a choking hazard to infants and young children. I wish you the best in your endeavor. I hope you will review my concerns. |

Have 5 cables. 4 at home and 1 in the car. The only ones I had issues like this were the unofficial ones initially before the certified ones came out. But it's a nice idea and hope it works out well for you.

$4 to basically insure a $7 cable seems steep to me. I have not had the issue with any lightning cable. I have one of the old cables from like an original ipad or something that is coming apart, however it still works fine. If I still used it a lot I would probably just buy a new cable. I also like the idea of a multipack. EDIT: I just noticed it's also $2 shipping so it now comes out to $6 to insure a $7 cable. |

I will be ordering 2 or so. I've had lightning cables screw up on me. I do a lot of iphone programming so maybe that's why my heads keep breaking,
