also, is the alpina flash only a TCU flash or can it affect other engine components as well? Just wondering since this is such a rare situation, that once I flashed this I soon after got tons of smoke and a bunch of errors...

It only affects the transmission module.

In the "how to" it said that it should say "ECU can be coded 63 more times" but when I did it, it said "ECU can be coded 62" more times, does this mean someones done that code to my car before..??

Also, if I did it again as good measure, would it mess anything up..??

Lastly, should I reset TCU adaptations after doing that flash..??

Thank u!

Maybe the dealer did an update, or someone did a flash with WinKFP not set up to prevent that number from changing.

When I flashed my transmission I got 62 times, however when I did other cars it showed 63.
If you are worried it being the flash you can just flash back to stock and remove the alpina flash.

Would it hurt anything if I flashed the Alpina flash again..??

Also, does anyone know the stock number to flash back to..??

Thanks!

"Anyone that wants to go back to stock software for whatever reason, its really simple to do... Follow the same procedure and choose 7601492 as the ZB number instead of the 7615835 (alpina software zb number). "

Thanks brother! I was googling this and some people were coming back with a 75XXXXX number, and I recognized that number from the MHD app where it says "Stock number 75XXXXX" so I wasn't sure if that was the number I should go back to or not..

Thanks tho!

You flashed it with WinKFP, I thought the only way to flash it was via WinKFP. It may be different if you used a different method to flash the TCU?

I would not flash it with the alpina again I would try to go back to stock and see if flashing in the first place caused those issues.

No problem.

I did use WinKFP, but when I ran the MHD app on my phone via K+DCAN/OTG cable to check for errors, it shows ur cars firmware or w/e and mine was Originally 75XXXXX and since I flashed the Alpina flash it's 76XXXXX...
