Before I sign my lease agreement..
Am I getting ripped? Decent deal? Please review my deal. Thanks everyone.
this is for a 36mo/12k lease. NUMBERS msrp - 51170 cap cost - 49145 bank fee - 625 total cap - 49770 cap reduction - 1728 net cap - 48054 residual - 60% rate - 0.00235 MONTHLY BREAKDOWN depreciation - 482 rent - 185 monthly subtotal - 667 tax - 55 [ 8.25%] total monthly - 722 UPFRONT BREAKDOWN cap reduction - 1728 doc. fee - 45 lic. fee - 354 gov. fee - 9 1st month - 722 security deposit - 750 total due at sign 3750 Yes I know Cap reduction is not smart, but how is my deal with that aside? ED is not an option for me at the moment. I'm wondering where I have wiggle room other than the cap cost. The dealer already went from 1500 to a tad over 2k off msrp and i don't think he'll go lower. I'm in los angeles area if that makes a difference. My first lease so help me out before i go crazy! Last edited by s1eepy; 12-20-2007 at 07:32 AM.. |

I'd say you had a better deal than me for 722 a month. Mine ended up being 46.6 and my monthly is 700. I had 36mo/15k lease. Compared to other people's, I'd say I gave a little more money away than I should have, but it looks to me like you have a decent deal. Did you try haggling already or is that what you got after negotiations? Maybe you could get it down to $715 a month, but I dunno how things are over in Cali.

I'm going to be paying $660/mo w/$1300 cap cost reduction and a total of $4k due at signing. That's for a 12k/36mo. lease like what you are interested in. I'm getting a E92 335i w/Coral Red, Navi, Sports, Cold Weather, Premium, & iPod.....basically I negotiated my CA down to $1k over invoice so my agreed selling price was $46,500. Definitely do more negotiating! I think you could get your car down to $700/mo for sure and maybe even lower. I can't wait until mine arrives- my ship is docking on the 23rd so hopefully I'll have my car by the end of the year!

I dont see why people say Cap reduction is not smart. I put 4k upfront on my 335i I recently totaled it. Pay off was 37k insurance offered me 42k for the car. Basically I made a profit. |

i'm not sure on this really, but i'm assuming whether u downed 4 or not insurance would still have given you 42k. the difference is if you don't have gap coverage you could possibly lose out on that 4k, and if you do have coverage, that money could have been sitting in the bank collecting interest for you [while spread over your monthly payments] instead of sitting in the dealer's pockets. or am i totally off here? thats just what i figured from what i've read.
