Just got done paying $432 for oil change, fuel filter change and DEF fill up. Seems high, but only two more to go under CPO.
Other news, for some reason my back tires have significantly lower tread than my front tires. |

That's kind of a normal shop/dealer price. You should fill the DEF yourself; it's easy and much cheaper than paying the shop due to their having to handle it with care.

Yes oil change oil filter and DEF just around $100. Fuel filter was done at a local shop along with some other things. I just wouldn't do the fuel filter myself due to the complexity of the job.

BMW waaaay marks up DEF ( you can get the same OEM fluid from VW/MB dealers much cheaper). They also really nail you on an oil change as the Diesel usually fits into the same M exclusion for the Value oil change they must offer for gasers (79.99 or 89.99).
Few threads on here if you search that details our experiences. A few dealers out there are cool and tack on just a bit more for an OC, most jack you for over an hour labor, full list on 8 quarts of low SAPS oil, yada yada. Fuel Filter is about 1hr labor, 40-60 part, so 200 sounds right, along with 200-250 for the OC and DEF. In summary, you didn't get ripped off just normal dealer large margin service ![]() Re: tires, welcome to 400+ ft-lbs. Staggered set up also makes it hard since you can't rotate. on my 18" sport setup, I estimate almost 2:1 rear tire wear to front, lots of HWY for me. I put just a rear pair of Conti's on this spring, fronts were still 6-7/32's. - b |

I just paid $585CAD for oil change, DEF flush and refill, Brake fluid flush and refill. Next oil change and DEF will tackle on my own. Get the DEF 2 liter fill bottle from VW for 2012 Passat TDI and a big jug of DEF from Walmart. The VW bottle can be used leak free on our cars and can be refilled from the Walmart jug!

![]() To answer the service question: oil change is $80, fuel filter is $25, DEF is something like $20 for a complete fill, and labor is free, so $125 total. |

The increase in wear with the DPF delete and tune is very noticeable. Never gone through a pair of tires that fast. The smiles are well worth it though.

By the way, I am 48 days away from the end of my CPO warranty. That means I am 49 days away from my alphabet delete. ![]() |
