Question on CPO warranty and DIY
Hi all, not new to the forum, but new to posting! I have a 2011 335d and the car has a CPO warranty until October 2016. I just rolled over 50K and the car's regular maintenance (car on a lift) light came on. My car no longer has a maintenance warranty and I have been doing my own oil changes, filters, etc. for some time now.
My question is, do I have to bring the car into BMW for the service to retain the CPO warranty? I have a copy of the maintenance schedule checklist, and if I do it myself and retain receipts for parts/fluids is there any problem with that? Thank you for any insight! |

Nope, no requirement to have your car serviced at the dealer to retain CPO warranty. Service it yourself or bring to any indy shop you'd like. I do the same and keep all my receipts.

Great! Thank you for the reassurance, that is exactly what I will be doing then. I was reading through the CPO paperwork and it was a little too ambiguous for my liking. I appreciate it.
