Still waiting on the body shop. Over a week for a bumper spray?
I don't know if I'm just being an impatient little prick, or if I'm getting the run around.
Front bumper has been at the paint shop since 9/14 and today is 9/23. All that's being done is a spray. Bumper came primdered and ready for paint. I called them last Thursday, they said it would be ready Saturday. Saturday came and went without a call, so I called them Monday. They said they did not like the quality of paint and wanted to re-do it. My initial gut said, they're JUST now starting it. So here we are Wednesday, no call or update. Is this typical? This is a new shop I am using and on my rear bumper, I had 72 hour turn around, 48 hour turn around on side skirts. I've never waited this long. Is this normal? If not, what can I do besides wait?

I've been going to the same body shop 45 minutes away for years. They're known around the local car community to be the best. Even with knowing the owner, the work varies between 2-3 days to 2 weeks. Shops get extremely busy. Keep in mind that they have insurance work they need done in a timely manner and one bumper might not be too high on their priority list.

![]() Makes sense. I think I'd rather get kicked in the crotch than wait for something I want. Sigh.
