I think shipping was around 7 dollars or so. They don't require a vin #, but they ask for it to confirm that whatever parts you order will fit your car. So if you are really anal you don't have to give it to them, but I don't think that they are asking for it to hold it against you, they just want to sell parts, they can care less what you do to your car.

I'm like 90% sure it's the part number listed for the 330i. The DME looks exactly the same and they are 44 and 26 pin connectors just like the 335i. I think realoem is just missing the part numbers for the 335i. That's the part I'd order. The only real way to check I guess is to go out to your car and pull out one of the connectors and see if the number matches what realoem shows.

If you ever get stuck and they require a VIN just grab one off of Autotrader.com or Ebay from a vehicle that is the same year/model! I'm sure if the guy at the parts counter is required to get one to fill in an order field he isn't going to be a detective about it.

good point. I was thinking of going to the dealer and getting a vin from one of the cars. your idea is much easier.
