Could the LSD from the M3(E46 or E92) be swapped into the 335i?
Not sure what the cost would be but was wondering if you could find a wrecked E46 M3 in the salvage yard, could it work. Not many wrecked E93/90 M3s yet. Also if you were to do the swap, would it be obvious to a BMW dealer by just looking at the unit. I know it could be detected upon closer inspection. Any advantage or disadvantage over the Quaife?

No. Not without extensive (costly) modifications. The Quaife is the Rx.
