Looking for Bluetooth device for 2011 328 M Sport
My wife's car is a 2011 328 MSport and it didn't come with Bluetooth! I find it hard to believe as I have a 2007 and mine has BT, but whatever. I am looking for a device I can buy to add functionality. I see a lot of iPhone solutions out there but I am looking for a non complicated Bluetooth solution for Android. She's not very tech savvy so flipping through a bunch of menus while she's driving to get it to work is not a good option. Is there anything good out there? If you are a vendor here and have something like that, hit me up on this thread or in PM. I'm looking to buy something soon.

Kinivo BTC450 or BTC455. great sound quality, especially with android because it uses aptx protocol with android but not with iphone.

I just installed a Dynavin N6, but before that I used a really simple Bluetooth device I picked up on Amazon for about $20. It plugged into the auxiliary jack and was powered by the usb jack. I paid the phone to it and it just worked... For phone conversations, music, etc.

+1 to the Dynavin N6. I'm not normally one to blow $700 on a radio for my car, but I must say that it was definitely worth the investment (it provides A LOT more than bluetooth and has a factory look/feel). |

I spent some time reading the review of the Dynavin N6. Looks really cool! I wasn't looking to spend that much money but it does have me re thinking what I should really get.

The Dynavin N6 looks fairly easy to install. Have you guys done it? Is it really that easy, or am I not seeing the easy parts?

I did it last week. It took less than one hour from the time I sat in my car until the time I exited my car (including the time to play around/test it out). It is truly plug and play.

Wow! I am really, really getting tempted. I would have totally pulled the trigger already if I hadn't just installed KW v1's in my car and just bought new brakes. I'm kinda tapped out.

You can always do what I did... Buy one of those cheap $20 Bluetooth adapters referenced above to use until you're ready to buy that head unit. It is definitely a 'no disappointments' purchase.

I will not say that the N6 is 100% free of issues. There are some minor issues like radio signal disturbances once in a while, steering controls reversed, etc. But nothing that can put you off. Infact, most people dont believe this was aftermarket. |

The Himbox BT unit is excellent as far as Aux BT units go. Great for calls too, I've had a few calls while driving and it handled it great.
Only complaint is the double sided tape did eventually fail on me though and it stopped sticking to the dash propely. I ended up sticking it near the iDrive controller, seems it's too weak for a horizontal surface after a few months. You could just buy some better tape from a store though. Oh well, it has bumps in the buttons so you can feel what you're pressing without looking so it's ok and it's easier to get the wires out of the way (I route it under the handbrake boot). |
