BruaQ is a COBB required for your flash or can this be done with my BT cable? I'm running the jb4 G5 ISO now, but all this talk about better DCT shifting and more torque has me curious. What's the cost?

Map Update
I decided to take the car out to the track despite the fear of breaking something again . However I was extra extra careful with the launches. My first run was no LC used, this was just a regular acceleration testing out traction
Keep in mind couple of factors involved here which is often "ignored" about claimed speed traps Car weight is 3600 lbs (full weight) Driver 250 lbs A little over a half tank of gas All Adaptation reset using INPA 1 hour before going to track First WOT done at track after adaptation reset with no LC ie normal acceleration off the line (left lane #1434): Heard a lot of confirmed complaints about the track being slippery, due to the dew fall, so I was extra extra cautious using LC to the point I waisted a lot of time feathering the car up to the 330 marker before I gained confidence in the traction Here is the log, The E85 stations here in Florida must have already changed their winter E85 blend to E70, I needed a gallon or so more of E85 to make it actually E60+ . Lack of fuel resulted in a lot of timing corrections on the run http://datazap.me/u/buraq/pbir-testi...8&zoom=202-375 Numbers are showing a strong 122 MPH if I can get traction down pact in the 330 mark. The second run with the 1.95 60" would have dont it. Will be making more adjustments to hold more boost at 6k RPMs. |

WG and Timing Detailing
So what else do I do on spare time ? Well I make myself very busy in tweaking the N54's boost contolls and timing algorithms.
There is much much more work at hand here to be detailed like this, more time on the road and more money in gas. Will the same map look the same on another 335is ? No, every car will require some sort of adjustment and will require additional tweaking to get it to the level that I have done on my own car which is the model car for all N54B30TO cars. Its all up to the customer, and again, it all based upon the health of the car, and my car has been beat to hell pretty much. Also the good thing about this is i will be able to identify my own tuning amongst other logs I still got more tweaking to do on the onset of the first gear WOT for post shift timing http://datazap.me/u/buraq/bq18?log=0...19&zoom=18-205 Of course there is no additional charge for being detailed, but it will take some time and gas money if you want to be picky like me when it comes to logs. Anything more in boost beyond this map is the red pill which is not recommended Was able to race a BMS E30 M4 on similar map: First run he beat me by half cars length @ 150 mph and the second run 1.5 length on second run more likely due to heat build on the back to back runs and loss timing up top I would always get ahead but after 120 mph he started to creep ahead. So in other words 20 PSI vs 25 PSI DCT vs DCT the 335is did a damn good job Last edited by BQTuning; 12-01-2014 at 04:08 PM.. |

Oops forgot to update this thread with the final results. Almost 1 year later today no n54 with stock turbos has been able to beat the current speed trap record at our local track

Yup I decided to granny it off the line after breaking 4 driveshafts.....lol . When I didn't care about breaking stuff my 60" use to be 1.8 - 1.9
Here is a vid for one of the runs...lol, I mean serious granny off the line My 335is DCT was on stock inlets, and downpipes with highflow cats. I wasn't catless. The 335is is what laid the foundation for the current E60 maps. When it gets colder you should be hitting the same 121-122 mph trap speeds |
