Vendor Review - Vargas Turbos.

Within 10 months of purchasing the Vargas Stage 1 hybrids, they failed. I am still under warranty so this should be an easy process - you would think.

There is absolutely no sense of customer service when dealing with Tony. I emailed Tony about twice a week – at first to know if he had received the turbos from the shop that sent them. That was more complicated than it should have been. If you are a business in this type of industry, you SHOULD have a process to receive, tag & mark, and store packages you receive regarding warranty work – at least your customers would think so. I even provided the tracking number to him – even after letting him know a week ahead that the turbos had been sent. The exchange there was that they had arrived, and then that he had not received them, and then followed by someone in the shop must have signed for it.

After finally acknowledging that he has them, it then takes THREE weeks to build and or repair them to send me a set back. THREE weeks!!! During this time, I continue emailing to get some type of update – WITH NO RESPONSE. The only minor saving grace that I can mention is that I was able to reach Wilma who works there and informed me they were having issues with their supplier of parts. This is yet another example of the lack of customer service – Tony could have easily responded to one of my emails and stated this. Customers want information – we understand that people get busy and other things come up – but it is as simple as sending an email and giving the customer an update that would greatly improve the customer service aspect that is lacking. Additionally, you are a shop that builds aftermarket turbos – you don’t have ANY in stock??!!! ANY?? Really?? – again, you are a shop that builds aftermarket tubros!

And that’s not even the worse of the transgressions. After all my email, calls, etc – when the turbos were finally ready to be sent out, what does he do? He sends them by regular shipping – REGULAR #$@KING shipping !!! Are you kidding me? This causes it to take yet another week to get to me before I can take it to the shop, to then get on their schedule, and get them installed. Yet another middle finger to customers courtesy of Tony. It would have been as simple as an email to ask the customer who has been hounding you about his turbos if he would like to pay for expedited shipping costs – or hell pay for it since the turbos were covered under warranty and YOUR faulty product was the reason.

It now has been over a month since I sent an email to Tony inquiring about some sort of assistance with the labor costs for the turbos which malfunctioned while covered under warranty - have I received a response? The answer there is a resounding no! – yet another middle finger to a customer. So ladies and gents, if you are in the market for aftermarket tubros (knowing that they might in fact malfunction and you would need new ones later on) I wrote this review for you on Vargas Turbos. You decide and make your decision if you think you want to go down this rabbit hole.

It's a big reason I won't be getting any vargas turbos, shit customer service and problems.

Meh, it would appears that Tony rather spends his time bashing, smearing and denouncing other vendors and products on various BMW boards than taking care of customers. After all, he has already gotten your money.

Did he ever respond to you? I hope they are fixed by now. I would recommend posting this in a section that gets more traffic. Like n54 performance section of this forum. There is a post currently on the first page where a member poses the Title question which turbos to go with. It might be a good idea to share your experience there as well.

Vtt has a facebook page, too. You should post this as a review

Hey doesn't he owe you money now for reviewing his product? It would be funny to find out if you ever get paid.

Stories like this are the reason I went with Pure Turbos. Sadly, this is not the first bad experience with VTT I have read on this forum.
